Waving tails If the city would flood the waterways would help me escape.
It's not so easy to describe my personality because there's so many different sides in me like there is probably in every person. But maybe mainly I'm a happy and optimistic and laughing person. Sometimes I cry and kick and hit the roof but I really can't angst or be angry or negative for long time. People make me laugh and that kind of people I usually try to get around me. It's not very hard to get me laughing, though, so my friend circle is quite big. And that's a good thing of course. I'm also very curious and I'm interested in world and people and life and new things. Bohemian, lounging, saving the world, laugh attacks. When I get excited, it means fireworks, yelling and jumping around. I want to be where the people are, I want to see them dancing. I do many things, for example photograph. I've got kind of a hate and love relationship with photographing. Photographing and taking good pictures is maybe the best thing in the world, but on the other hand lack of inspiration makes me distressed. I photograph, but I play music as well. Okay, I just sing and sometimes play guitar. It's fun anyway. I also listen to lots of music, I buy records every time I've got enough money, which is too seldom. My taste of music is really vast and I'm not too picky with that, but I can't stand heavy metal. Though it depends on the song, but anyway. Everything else goes. The best band is however Muse.
It's ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife. I love books though I read way too little. I love many other things too, like wool socks and movies and tea. I love the idea of getting up early some morning and going to some foggy field to photograph the sunrise, but the truth is that I love the warm bed and sleeping way too much and even if my cell-phone would be screaming "Wake Up!" to my ear, I would just turn it off and continue sleeping. I always drink my tea the same way and I always do my exams at school with wool socks on because shoes bother my thinking. My favorite book is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince and I read it when the world seems like a stupid place because sometimes even my kind of an always happy person feels that way about it. "I wonder," he said, "if the stars are lit up so that each one of us can find his own star again. Look at my planet. It's right above us... But how far away it is!" |

Emmi, that's me. 18-year-old student from Southern Finland, I go to upper secondary quite diligently. School is great, life is great, people are great, or at least the most of them. The greatest things at school are languages like French and English and Swedish, History, Music and hanging out, which is closely related to the great people. Upper secondary is hard, but it's more informal when you may and can, like in our school, hang out even if your school day is already over. It's too bad that upper secondary is over in a year and after that I should already know how to be an adult.
